UN report: IDF barring Gazans' access to farms, fishing zones
Humanitarian affairs office: Israel restricts entry to 17% of Gaza lands, 85% of beachfront zone, enforces restrictions with live fire.
Over the last ten years, the Israel Defense Forces have increasingly restricted Palestinian access to farmland on the Gazan side of the Israeli-Gaza border as well as to fishing zones along the Gaza beach, a United Nations report revealed Thursday.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) wrote in the report, complied in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP), that Israel's justification for these restrictions was the prevention of attacks on Israel, including the firing of rockets. Haaretz
It's all part of the Israeli imposed "diet".
When Israeli government was discussing in 2006 further steps to punish the people of Gaza, Dov Weisglass cracked a "joke".
"It's like an appointment with a dietician. The Palestinians will get a lot thinner, but won't die," the advisor joked, and the participants reportedly rolled with laughter....Report by Gideon Levy

You know the old saying... give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Now we see this... take away the right to fish and farm and you can make people dependent on the goodwill of others for as long as you wish.
Things aren't much better in the West Bank, either.

I have already diaried repeatedly on the bulldozing of water wells of farmers being destroyed by the Israeli regime. This is all routine.
Such actions by Israel are part of what is called in the Orwellian world of Washington DC the "peace process". In Washington, Netanyahu is a man of "peace".

PNN - A group of Israeli settlers destroyed on Tuesday farm lands owned by Palestinian famer in the village Khirbit Al Hammam in northern West Bank.
Witnesses said that young settlers arrived at the village in a school bus occupied the house of Mohamed Al Jalon for three houses; as settlers were leaving they set fire to Mahmud’s land destroying his crops.
